In our previous weekly update, we mentioned that Roaring Fork Falls is now accessible.

This week, here are the latest updates on nearby attractions and activities to our lodge:

• Mount Mitchell is one of three parks that could remain closed for an extended period. The other two are Chimney Rock and South Mountains State Parks.

• Although Mount Mitchell experienced minimal storm damage, it remains closed due to significant damage to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

• Crews are actively working in the area and will continue their efforts for an extended period.

• The hiking and biking trails at Lake James have partially reopened. For more details, visit:
